Technical Support – On Call

Who We Are

At the Tangible Embodied Child-Computer Interaction Lab we conduct design-oriented research and train the next generation of researchers to design, build and evaluate technical innovations that improve, augment, and support children’s cognitive and emotional development.

In the TECI lab we are committed to working with diverse populations of children, particularly those that may be vulnerable or hard to reach. At TECI we are working to ensure diversity and inclusivity in our team and in our research participants across a range of social, economic, cultural, racial, ethnic, and gender groups.

Current or recent SFU student specializing in Computer Science, a SIAT Major or working in related fields. You have at least 1 year of experience working on Unity based projects in Android and Windows, and familiarity with code versioning tools like GitHub and/or you have at least one year of experience working with MonoGame and Visual Studio (C#) on the Windows platform.

What You’ll Do

Support researchers with technical troubleshooting, including diagnosing hardware issues and resolving software problems on Android and/or Windows platforms. Core activities involve updating libraries, plug-ins, SDK, application code, network protocols, troubleshooting and documentation updates for legacy research prototype applications developed in 2014 and 2010.
